On November 11-12 of this year within the framework of sports competitions "Five Initiatives" mini-football competitions were held. Students of all higher educational institutions of our region competed with each other in these competitions. Students of our university also took an active part in sports competitions and received prizes.
On November 14, 2024, Anna Rumyantseva, Vice-Rector for Science and International Affairs at St. Petersburg University of Management, Technology, and Economics, and Marina Morozova, Director General of the Center for Professional Development in Tourism and Hospitality in St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, visited «Silk Road» International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
During the meeting, discussions focused on establishing close cooperation with the St. Petersburg University of Management, Technology, and Economics and the Center for Professional Development in Tourism and Hospitality. Topics included creating exchange programs for our university's professors and students, providing advanced training in tourism and hospitality, inviting Russian graduates in tourism to pursue master’s programs at our university, and offering opportunities for highly qualified Russian professors to supervise our researchers.
In order to organize the leisure time of students and young people in a meaningful way and to further expand their spiritual mindset today, November 14, the 2nd year students of the group 123-223 watched the film “Paradise under the feet of the mother”, created by Kyrgyz filmmakers under the guidance of a tutor, and were impressed.
Every year many countries around the world celebrate an important environmental date - World Recycling Day.
Today the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change is carrying out a number of practical works in this direction. Today, on November 14, "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage also held a round table dedicated to November 15 - World Recycling Day. At the event, students were informed about the phased introduction of the separate waste collection system in the country based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from December 15, 2020, as well as provided resources on the content and essence of this important document. For information, today in developed countries 40-60% of household and industrial waste is recycled. At the Roundtable, students received answers to their questions.
On November 13 of the current year, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kongratbay Sharipov visited Samarkand Technical School of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and got acquainted with its activities.
During the visit, he got acquainted with the work carried out at the technical school in the directions of “Tourism”, “Service and tourism” and “Organization and management of hotel economy”, taught on the basis of international joint programs in cooperation with South Korean National University Konwon and Belarusian Gomel State Culinary College.
Relevant instructions were also given to improve convenience for students, develop dual education, effectively organize student internships and strengthen cooperation with employers.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister planted an autumn tree sapling as part of the Green Space national project.
On November 12 this year, the psychologist of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Dildora Turdieva conducted a psychological training “Others and me” for the 1st year students of the correspondence department, studying in the direction of “Tourism and Hospitality”.
Psychological practices used at this event were aimed at improving the atmosphere in the group, forming team spirit, cohesion among students, relieving emotional tension.
Д. Turdieva spoke in detail about the possibility of achieving peace of mind and goals through positive thinking. At the end of the training the students got a good mood and great motivation to move forward.
On November 12, 2024 was organized a meeting of members of the Women's Council of "Silk Road" International Heritage of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with profile experts on the topics of “increasing medical culture”, “wide promotion of healthy lifestyles” among students.
At the meeting, the experts talked about the essence of the law “on preservation of reproductive health of citizens”, “hygiene of girls is the basis of a prosperous family”, “the future is in the hands of future mothers” in order to further promote women's health.
At the event, Dilorom Mamatova, head of the reproductive center department of the regional multidisciplinary central polyclinic, gynecologist, gave the participants necessary recommendations on the topics “Early marriages and early births, negative consequences of marriages between relatives”, “Girls' hygiene is a guarantee of health”, “The place of medical culture in the family”.
At the event, students and girls received answers to their questions in the form of open communication.
