On June 22 this year, within the framework of the “Month of Youth”, as well as the republican movement “Youth of New Uzbekistan, Unite!” in the Conference Hall of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Samarkand Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Uktam Tilavov and director Muhammadrasul Mamadaminzoda, presented the concert program “Yoshlik” (“Youth”).
The purpose of the concert is to popularize the Uzbek symphonic classics among the younger generation. The concert was open to all guests of the university and, as expected, was sold out.
For a couple of hours, the University turned into a real theater. Classical music sounded here and arias from famous operas were performed. The Samarkand Symphony Orchestra truly opened a new look at the works of the classics to the university community and all opera lovers.
It is noteworthy that the Samarkand Symphony Orchestra presented a concert program, which included works by the greatest foreign and national composers, which allowed listeners to enjoy the full depth and variety of symphonic music.
