On October 18 of this year, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, Mr. Yoshinori Fujiyama, visited the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
During the visit, Mr. Yoshinori Fujiyama had an official conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the “Silk Road” University A.Abdukhakimov. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the educational field. The rector noted the need to maintain strong working contacts, as well as to establish an academic bridge for the unimpeded mobility of students and teachers of universities in both countries.
It is noteworthy that the Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan Mr. Yoshinori Fujiyama donated a unique collection of scientific literature and textbooks to the library fund of the university. The books provided contain the latest research information about tourism, culture and customs of Japan, which will undoubtedly be of great benefit to our teachers and students in the process of scientific research and training.
