‘Students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage - for green space!’campaign was launched at the initiative of the Department for "Work with mahallahs, youth and organization of events.
In order to support the "International Year of Mountain Sustainable Development" announced by the United Nations General Assembly in 2021, the UN International Decade for Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030) and to preserve the unique nature of mountains, about 180 pistachio seedlings were planted in Ohalik district of Samarkand region by Local students of university and foreign graduate students from Italy, Tajikistan, India, Iran, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan Bangladesh, Belarus, Tajikistan, Malaysia, and Russia as well as the participation of the Department for ‘Work with mahallahs, youth and organization of events’ of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with Community Ecology Association and initiative groups of citizens and organizations of Central Asian countries.
One of the main goals of the campaign is to protect nature and inculcate the concept of eco-culture in our youth.
