In order to develop cooperation and better mutual understanding of the public, as well as to establish an academic bridge for the unhindered mobility of students and teachers of universities in China and Uzbekistan, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and North-west University in China.
Online signing ceremony of documents was held as part of the 120th anniversary of North-west University. An agreement was also signed on the establishment of a Chinese-Uzbek joint scientific and technological laboratory for archeology and the protection of cultural heritage between the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and North-west University.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of both universities. During his speech, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage A.A. Abdukhakimov expressed his gratitude to the President of North-west University, Mr. Guo Lihong, and emphasized his appreciation for the cooperation between the two universities.
