On June 6, 2023, the opening ceremony of the Indian study room was held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan Manish Prabhat, embassy staff, Indian citizens living in Samarkand and Indian students of our university took part in the opening ceremony. Following the opening ceremony, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between India’s “Food Tourism Organization” and “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
The opening of the Indian Cabinet demonstrates a new level of cooperation between the two countries, not only in economic, political, but also in cultural and educational areas. This Indian cabinet now serves as a kind of gas pedal for the youth of the two nations to study Uzbek and Indian languages and enrich their cultural knowledge.
In the long term, the signing of a memorandum on cooperation between India’s prestigious universities and “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and the establishment of systemic relations in higher education would certainly be beneficial for the youth of both sides. The dialogue, which took place in a spirit of sincere and open communication, talked about these very plans.
