On September 10, 2020, the international University of tourism "Silk Road" held a training seminar on “Grading Policy and Assessment Criteria” (Regulations for the 2020/2021 academic year), organized by the Dean Of the faculty of Tourism Management S. Wroblewski and the head of the Department of General Professional and Special disciplines Ian Patterson.
The first Vice-rector, Prof. Eltazarov J., Head of Department of monitoring and the organization of educational process Nurov F., Head of Department ensure the quality of education Tukhtamyshov A., faculty and advisors took an active part in the educational and methodological seminar.
The main purpose of the training workshop was to explain and implement the assessment policy and criteria for students in all academic programs starting from the 2020-2021 academic year. The topic of credit-module training was also discussed. In this regard, a new approach to the preparation of educational and methodological complexes (Syllabuses) is required. At the seminar were discussed the procedure for preparing educational and methodological complexes, and their installation on an electronic educational platform.
It was also noted that assessment is a necessary tool for both teachers and students. Its main goal is effective learning, which includes five mandatory blocks: understanding the General concept of education and the main concepts in each subject, acquiring knowledge, mastering skills, the ability to build social relationships, make decisions and be responsible for them.
The participants of the seminar received answers to all their questions.
