On September 27 of this year, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism hosted an event dedicated to the celebration of the World Tourism Day, the theme of which was: “Opening a window into the world of tourism and spirituality”.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Sports, Rector of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism A. Abdukhakimov delivered a congratulatory speech.
Adviser to the Rector of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism A.Ospanova also made a speech.
D.Razi prepared a presentation: “Uzbekistan: the third Renaissance and tourism”, after which he willingly answered all the questions.
At the end of the event, the guests were expected to take a tour of the Laboratories for the training of qualified personnel, where a master class was held for tourism workers taking into account the latest trends in the tourism sector.
Also, was organized a tour of the University campus for the guests where a special attention was given to the ultra-modern Library.
For reference: World Tourism Day, established by the General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization in 1979, is celebrated annually on September 27. The World Tourism Day is held to promote tourism, highlight its contribution to the development of cultural ties, and ensure mutual understanding between peoples. Every year, the WTO General Assembly proclaims the motto of the Tourism Day. This year, on the recommendation of the UNWTO, the celebrations will be held under the motto “Tourism for inclusive growth”.
Uzbekistan occupies one of the leading places in the world in terms of its tourist potential. Such successes achieved in the sphere are the result of comprehensive work on the further development of the tourist infrastructure in the country. The annual Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road”, held under the auspices of the WTO, plays a significant role in shaping and maintaining the image of Uzbekistan on the world market.
