In order to ensure the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 28, 2022 No. PD-60 “On the Development Strategy of New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026” and the State Program for its implementation in the “Year of Ensuring Human Interests and Development of the Mahalla”, as well as in order to ensure prompt and high-quality communication to the population of materials prepared in the spiritual and educational sphere, using modern technologies, improving the quality and efficiency of work under the motto “New Uzbekistan - an enlightened society”, through the efforts of the “Marifat” society, cycle of “Festivals of Spirituality” is carried out in the city of Tashkent, regions and in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
Thus, on June 29 of this year, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage held a presentation of the book “Heroes of Uzbekistan” as part of cultural and educational events held under the motto “New Uzbekistan – a country where human dignity is glorified!”.
This book reflects the lifestyle of our contemporaries, statesmen and public figures, scientists, workers and employees, teachers, farmers, artists and cultural figures who worked tirelessly and served for the benefit of our nation, despite various life trials, in a word, in this book mentions the highly creative work carried out in all fields of activity.
Heroes of Uzbekistan, spiritual figures, scientists, intellectuals spoke at the event and shared information with the younger generation about their exemplary life path, work and achievements, thereby inspiring the youth to reach new heights for the benefit of society and the state.
On the pages of the book “Heroes of Uzbekistan” the life stories of the First President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, as well as representatives of national literature and art, public figures, such as Said Ahmad, Ozod Sharafiddinov, Suyima Ganieva, Zikir Mukhamadzhanov, Erkin Vakhidov, Abdulla Oripov, Malika Abdullahodjaeva, Khasan Normuradov, Lola Murotova (in total 103 outstanding people who left a worthy mark in the new history of Uzbekistan), have found their place in the pages of the book “Heroes of Uzbekistan”. Their exemplary way of life, glorious work will be a symbol of honor in the hearts of generations!
At the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage a training seminar was held for the teaching staff on the topic: “Organization of work on patenting and certification of innovative developments created by the teaching staff of the University”, in accordance with paragraph No. 4 of the road map for a phased implementation of the concept of “University 3.0”.
The seminar was attended by Akmal Akramov, Chief Adviser of the Office of Copyright and Related Rights of the Ministry of Justice, and Sanjar Tursunov, Chief Adviser of the Office of Legal Protection of Industrial Property of the Ministry of Justice.
During the seminar, information was provided on the existing problems of protection of copyright and related rights and their solution, ensuring the legal protection of intellectual property.

On June 27 this year, in the Conference Hall of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, a meeting of the Women’s Advisory Council was held on the topic “Women of New Uzbekistan are always in the spotlight”, dedicated to summarizing the work done during the 2021/2022 academic year.
At the event held by the chairman of the Women’s Council of the University Mukhayyo Abbasova, meaningful views were expressed on measures aimed at the comprehensive protection of women in our republic, on reforms carried out at an accelerated pace on the most important criteria of gender equality, on the creation of broad opportunities for female students studying in higher educational institutions, on the way to intellectual, spiritual and physical perfection.
In particular, the report of the Women’s Advisory Council of the University on the work done was read out. The contribution of the teaching staff to the creative and intellectual development of students was noted. Also, special attention was paid to active female students who showed good results in various fields of activity.
As a result of the event, distinguished teachers and students were presented with memorable gifts and letters of appreciation.
The 3rd year students of the groups Mar-119 and Mar-219 in the second semester, under the guidance of the teacher of the Department of General Professional and Special Disciplines Bekzod Oblakulov, completed an internship at the Samarkand enterprise “Sam Glass” Co. Ltd.
During the internship, the company gave certain tasks related to marketing activities so that students could apply the theoretical knowledge gained in practice. The most active students who coped with the tasks were recognized by the enterprise and awarded with valuable prizes totaling more than 2,500 US dollars.
The University administration expresses its gratitude to the “Sam Glass” company and intends to increase contacts to provide additional quotas for interns.
The Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan replenished the library fund of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with rare books.
It is worth noting that through the efforts of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the “Silk Road” University Aziz Abdukhakimov and representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, unique books are delivered weekly.
These books are devoted to history, culture and tourism, as well as museology, architecture and art, which will undoubtedly be of great benefit to our teachers and students in the process of scientific research and education.
It is noteworthy that at the moment the library fund has more than 20 thousand books, as well as about 10 thousand electronic books.
In order to accelerate the development of domestic tourism in the country, to familiarize students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with the activities of cultural and tourist sites, as well as government organizations directly related to tourism, on June 17-18, the University organized an internship in the city of Tashkent and Tashkent region.
At the first stage of the practice, students studied and analyzed the activities of hotels and restaurants in Tashkent. The interns received important information about the new style of work of hotels and restaurants, the activities of their departments and the job responsibilities of each employee.
In addition, students of the “Silk Road” University visited the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan. During the visit, officials of the ministry acquainted the students with the activities of the organization, departments and their functions, as well as promising investment projects in the field of tourism.
During the two-day trip, the trainees got acquainted with the famous architectural monument of Tashkent - the Khazrati Imam complex and the history of Osman Muskhafi. Also, on the second day of practice, students get acquainted with the activities of tourist facilities and the tourist infrastructure of the Amirsay mountain-resort complex, the Chimgan camp site, the Beldersay ski resort and the Charvak reservoir, located in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region. The research took place according to the “on-site research” system.

On June 22 this year, within the framework of the “Month of Youth”, as well as the republican movement “Youth of New Uzbekistan, Unite!” in the Conference Hall of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Samarkand Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Uktam Tilavov and director Muhammadrasul Mamadaminzoda, presented the concert program “Yoshlik” (“Youth”).
The purpose of the concert is to popularize the Uzbek symphonic classics among the younger generation. The concert was open to all guests of the university and, as expected, was sold out.
For a couple of hours, the University turned into a real theater. Classical music sounded here and arias from famous operas were performed. The Samarkand Symphony Orchestra truly opened a new look at the works of the classics to the university community and all opera lovers.
It is noteworthy that the Samarkand Symphony Orchestra presented a concert program, which included works by the greatest foreign and national composers, which allowed listeners to enjoy the full depth and variety of symphonic music.
