The “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organizes various sports activities to engage students in meaningful leisure time at the Students' Dormitory. On March 13th, a football competition was held at the game field of the Students' Dormitory, students of all levels participated. Four teams competed for the title of champion.
On March 13 th,at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the "Week of national values" was held, which included "National Clothing Day" and "National and Sports Games Day." During the events, students of our university competed in sports such as badminton, chess, and checkers.
The aim of these projects is to organize the free time of students and young people meaningfully and to preserve our national values.
Today,on March 13, a group of first and second-year students from our university visited the elderly and disabled individuals living at the "Saxovat Uyi" in Samarkand during the days of Ramadan. During their visit to the "Saxovat Uyi," our students interacted closely with the elderly residents, sharing in their joys and concerns.
In the first project of the "Week of national values" organized by the Youth Union of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, students watched the film "Heaven is Under the Feet of Mothers," directed by Kyrgyz filmmakers. Additionally, several interesting projects were presented to the students during the week, including National Clothing Day, an Iftar table with dishes from various national cuisines, and a trip to the "Chavandoz School."
During this week, students will have the opportunity to explore our cultural heritage more deeply and learn to appreciate it even more.
From February 22 to March 11, 2025, university teachers and students successfully participated in training seminars organized by Gunadarma University in Indonesia. During the training courses, classes were conducted by specialists in the field of Tourism and Cultural Heritage from Gunadarma University. The specific aspects of the Indonesian language, culture and tourism were studied in theoretical and practical lessons. At the end of the training course, Gunadarma University organized an international seminar entitled “From Indonesia to Samarkand: Discovering Cultural and Tourism Connections on the Silk Road”. At the end of the event, teachers and students who successfully completed the training courses were awarded certificates.
Today, on March 12, a meeting was organized with A. Jo'rayev, a doctor from the Regional HIV/AIDS Prevention Center, to provide students with essential information on promoting a healthy lifestyle and raising awareness about HIV/AIDS, which has become a global issue. During the roundtable discussion, the specialist provided detailed information on HIV infection and ways to prevent it.
On March 12, a tutor-organized event called "Awareness Hour" was dedicated to the topic "The Role of Women and Girls in Society in the Formation of the Third Renaissance Generation in New Uzbekistan." M. Abbasova, the Chairwoman of the Women's Council of the University, was invited to the event. M. Abbasova spoke about the increasing activity of women in the fields of science, education, and spirituality, emphasizing the state's legal and social support for their participation in these processes, and provided necessary advice to the female students.
On March 12th, physical training exercises, volleyball, and national games were organized among students residing at our university's student dormitory under the slogan "We are for a healthy lifestyle." The purpose of this event was to promote a healthy lifestyle among students.
On March 12th, the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage’s preventive inspector Sh. Qurbonov conducted preventive activities with students at the student dormitory. During the conversation, necessary recommendations were given on matters such as maintaining etiquette while walking and standing in public places, showing mutual respect in interactions with other students, and preventing situations that could lead to offenses.
Additionally, during the conversation, further suggestions were provided to students and dormitory officials regarding food safety in the student dormitory.
