On March 13-14, in Andijan, the German International Cooperation (GIZ) organized a two-day practical seminar on the topic "Fundamentals of Training and Consulting in Green Hospitality" with the aim of ensuring ecological sustainability in the hospitality sector.
This event served as an important platform for the exchange of experiences for specialists, entrepreneurs in the hotel and tourism industry, as well as those interested in applying ecological sustainability to their businesses. The seminar discussed sustainable tourism practices, ecological standards, and green certification processes. Notably, S. Kuvandikov, a lecturer from the "Tourism Department" of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road”,participated in the seminar.
A trip was organized to the "Cavalry School" under the National Guard's Samarkand regional department, with the initiative of our university's Youth Union primary organization, aiming to promote equestrian sports among students and youth, as well as to increase their interest in the animal world.
In order to promote a healthy lifestyle in our society and further improve the physical education and regular involvement of the younger generation in mass sports, an open football tournament called the "Rector’s CUP" was held among the students of our university.
During the open tournament, which took place on March 16-17, the teams demonstrated their skills and engaged in intense competition.
At the end of the competition:
- 3rd place - Unwantedboy team.
- 2nd place - Krezus team.
- 1st place - Rector’s Cup 2025 champion – International Relations team.
The winners and prize-winners of the tournament were awarded with a traveling cup, medals, diplomas, and souvenirs by the "Silk Road" International Tourism and Cultural Heritage University.
First-year students of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage took part in an educational trip to Bukhara as part of their "Tourism of Uzbekistan" course. The purpose of the trip was to enhance their theoretical knowledge through practical experience and to explore the rich historical and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan.
During the trip, students visited important historical sites such as the Ark Fortress, Kalyan Minaret, Mir Arab Madrasah, and the Lyabi-Hauz complex. They learned about Bukhara’s significance on the Silk Road, its historical importance, and its role in the tourism industry. Discussions also focused on the preservation of cultural heritage and the development of tourism in historical cities.
This experience greatly contributes to the students' future professional growth, as they not only deepened their theoretical knowledge but also gained practical insights by witnessing Uzbekistan’s historical tourist attractions firsthand.
It has been announced that scholarships will be provided for students and faculty from our country to study at higher education institutions in Latvia, as well as the organization of summer schools for the 2025-2026 academic years.
These opportunities will allow students and faculty to study at Latvian higher education institutions, acquire new knowledge, and gain international experience.

Today, on March 15th, in Jizzakh city, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation organized a tree planting marathon under the slogan "These gardens will become one..." in honor of the "Environmental Protection and Green Economy Year." The marathon aimed to establish the "Ziyolilar Garden." During the marathon, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Q. Sharipov, and others discussed the goals and objectives of the project and gave the start for universities participating online nationwide to begin planting trees.
The team of the "Silk Road" International University of tourism and cultural heritage actively participated in this marathon by establishing the "Ziyolilar Garden" in the university's yard and planting around 20 different ornamental tree saplings.

Today,on March 14th,the "Awareness hour" was held at the Pushkin Regional Information and Library Center, with the participation of students from the TTCH-124 group. The topic of the "Awareness hour" was titled "Book - the teacher who creates life."
The head of the "Written and Oral Translation Studies" department, T. Akramova, and the department's teacher, M. Baymatova, are participating in the conference on the topic "Strengthening and Developing Educational Exchange Between Educational Institutions," organized by the Korea Education Center in Tashkent. At the conference, M. Baymatova, a teacher from the "Written and Oral Translation Studies" department, spoke about advanced pedagogical practices in the teaching process of the Korean language for students at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
