Today, on March 20th, at the festive events held in Samarkand, the professors, staff, and students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage actively participated with their performances. Especially, a group of local and foreign students from our university performed songs and music, which gathered many festival participants in one place. Our students not only showcased the national traditions of our people but also demonstrated the cultures of nations such as English, Russian, Indian, and Chinese.

The exhibitions and performances prepared by our university team were positively evaluated by A. Boboev, the Acting Governor of the region. The Navruz celebration filled the hearts of our university team with joy and happiness, sharing a festive spirit. The holiday events are ongoing.

In accordance with the Decree No. PQ 61 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated February 14, 2025, titled "Additional Measures for Assisting the Employment of Graduates of Higher Education Institutions," the "Step into the Future" program has been introduced for students currently undergoing industrial internships.

According to this program, the expanses of the professional internships of students undergoing practical training will be financed. In this regard, we kindly ask you to make effective use of this opportunity and familiarize yourselves with the details of the program.

Additionally, a questionnaire regarding the "Step into the Future" program will be sent to your personal cabinet in the HEMIS information system, and you are requested to fully participate in this survey.

Currently, within the framework of the national "Green Space" project, various tree saplings are being planted and nurtured in the courtyard of our university. The next event of this charitable initiative took place in front of the Tourism Academy building, where a group of employees planted various ornamental saplings.

From March 15 to April 15, 2025, in connection with the "Month of Civil Protection and Emergency Situation Preparedness" being held in the Republic, a training seminar was conducted at the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road." The event was attended by a group led by the head of the Regional Emergency Situations Department's training center and university officials. During the seminar, theoretical and practical exercises were conducted on emergency situations related to natural disasters such as floods and landslides that may occur in the spring season, as well as the rules of behavior for employees and students "before, during, and after an earthquake," and necessary recommendations were given.

Day by day, the scientific potential of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road" is rising, and a number of young and promising teachers have been recognized for their academic degrees. We congratulate on behalf of our university team: Nodir Khushvakhtov, Head of the Dean's Office; Ibragim Nimatov, Senior Specialist of the Department of Distance Education; Madina Khoshimova, PhD, of the Department of Tourism; and Nargiza Turdiyeva, Lecturer at the Department of Written and Oral Translation Studies, for receiving their PhD and Associate Professor diplomas.

A monograph has been published by Acting Associate Professor of the Department of Written and Oral Translation Studies at the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road,"Marupova Dilfuza Davronovna , titled "Development of Literary Competencies of Future Teachers." The monograph explores the theoretical foundations of developing literary competencies in future literature teachers, as well as issues related to the integration of content aspects of the integrative approach into the process of forming professional competence in the analysis and interpretation of artistic texts.

From March 25-28 of this year, a competition in the field of CS:2 is planned to be held among students of higher education institutions at the "Cyber Arena" building located in the M.Ulugbek district of Tashkent city, S-1 area, organized by the International Fund for the Development of Science, Education, and Training "Ziyo Forum." Students of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage "Silk Road" who wish to participate in this competition should inform their group tutors by March 19, 2025.

On April 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM, the defense of the dissertation by Khayrullayev Abdullatif, a doctoral candidate of Silk Road international University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, will take place at the UNWTO thematic office. The dissertation, titled "Improvement of methods for the effective development of health and wellness tourism in regions", is written in the specialty 08.00.17 – "Tourism and Hotel Management" for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics. The defense will be held at the Scientific Council (DSc.33/01.02.2022.I.145.01) under the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

Akramova Takhmina Komiljonovna Akramova, Acting Associate Professor, Head of the Translation and Interpretation Research Department of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road”, has published a monograph entitled “Ideological and Artistic Images of Edgar Poe's Works and Ways to Recreate Them in Translation”. Akramova T.K.'s monograph is written within the framework of literary and translation studies, which in accordance with the general trend of modern linguistics considers the phenomena of language in close connection with the human image, its spiritual and practical activity.

The "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organized the university stage of the "Readers' Youth League" in library. A roundtable discussion and a Q&A session were held based on a work selected by the readers. The event was conducted by the head of the library department, the chief specialist of the library, the chairperson of the women's council and tutors.The students participated very actively in the event.
