On March 5th of this year, the living conditions of students residing in rental apartments were examined. The students were provided with necessary recommendations and informed about the rules for using utility services, as well as the importance of being aware of gas and fire safety.

Today,on March 6,in celebration of International Women's Day (March 8), the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Women's Council, in cooperation with the Department of "Languages and Global Studies," organized the "Balli Girls" competition for first-year female students. The girls competed in four categories and won the following nominations: "Most Creative Girl" - Eshnorova Sevinch, "Most Agile Girl" - Shakirova Jasmina, "Neatest Girl" - Hamroqulova Asal, "Most Creative Girl" - Xolmatova Farida, "Most Knowledgeable Girl" - Baxtiyorova Muxlisa. Among the participants, Shakirova Jasmina was named "University Queen."

A masterclass on drawing, organized by the club, was held enthusiastically. The field of painting is of great importance for students to express and realize their talents.

On March 4, 2025, a Badminton competition took place at the "Silk Road" International university of Tourism and Cultural Heritage  as part of the "Student League" sports competitions among the higher education institutions in Samarkand.

According to the results of the competition:

- 1st place: Samarkand State Medical University team.

- 2nd place: Samarkand State University team.

- 3rd place: "Silk Road" International university of Tourism and Cultural Heritage  team.

On March 5th of this year, the university hosted a report-election meeting of the primary organization of the university trade union, as well as a delegate election for the report-election conference of the Trade Union of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Workers of Uzbekistan, Samarkand regional united committee. 

One of the key issues on the agenda of the report-election meeting was the report by S. Matlabov, Chairman of the university trade union primary organization, on the work carried out by the trade union from 2020 to 2025. 

After that, three candidates proposed for the position of chairman of the university trade union primary organization were subjected to an open vote. As a result of the open and transparent voting process, the incumbent chairman of the university trade union primary organization, S. Matlabov, was re-elected to this position. 

Furthermore, at the meeting, the Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Workers of Uzbekistan, Samarkand Regional United Committee, T. Alqarov, and the Chairman of the university trade union primary organization, S. Matlabov, were elected as delegates to the report-election conference of the Trade Union of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Workers of Uzbekistan, Samarkand regional united committee. 

During the report-election meeting, tasks for the next five years were outlined, focusing on social protection of the university's professors, teachers, and staff.

During the study of the activities of the Technopark within Gunadarma University, there was an exchange of views on academic activities between partner universities. Today, on March 5th, a volleyball competition was organized among the first-year students of the “Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage under the slogan "We are against drugs." The students were divided into teams and competed against each other. At the end of the volleyball competition, the winning team was awarded commemorative prizes.

On March 4 of this year ,our university tutor G. Husainova held a roundtable discussion among students in the student dormitory on the importance of observing ethics, particularly focusing on the culture of dressing. The discussion emphasized choosing clothing based not on mass culture, but rather on our national identity. The conversation also included a discussion on the code of conduct. During the roundtable, students were provided with necessary recommendations in a friendly and open atmosphere.

In order to fight against these destructive ideas, a roundtable discussion on the topic "We are against mass culture" was held with a group of young people residing at the Student Dormitory of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and opinions were shared on its manifestations.
