Online master class from an Italian chef

On the 2 of July, 2020 the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism with the support of the Practice and Training Department of the University and chef of the Roman school "Tor Carbone" Claudio Fattorini held an online culinary master class on the theme: «How to make a seasonal Italian risotto using asparagus».

During this Claudio Fattorini clearly demonstrated the process of preparing the Italian dish – “Risotto” and also shared his professional experience.

 Claudio told the story of the Italian dish Risotto, as it is one of the culinary symbols of Italy along with pizza and spaghetti. As it was said this dish appeared accidentally thanks to the absent-mindedness of the cook who cooked rice soup but forgot about it and all the broth evaporated. Surprisingly cook found delicious rice in the pot similar to the most delicate cream with pieces of vegetables and meat. The first recipes for Italian risotto appeared in the XVI century and now there are about thousand ways how to prepare this dish.

At the end of the master class the participants expressed their gratitude to the Italian specialist and noted that such events should be held regularly.
