On November 24 of this year, a Delegation headed by the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, Professor Serhiy Shkarlet, visited the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. This Delegation included the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Uzbekistan Mikola Doroshenko. Rectors and specialists of leading Universities of Ukraine also visited the University.

The honorary guests during the tour of the smart campus were personally accompanied by the Adviser to the Rector of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Alia Ospanova.

Prof.S.Shkarlet held a guest lecture for students, in which he told about his life, personal experience, scientific work, at the end of which he gave students important advice: "Set high goals for yourself and do not stop."

In addition, students actively asked questions about the educational process, the creation and holding of youth forums for the exchange of experience between our University and leading Universities in Ukraine. The Minister of Education and Science, Prof.S.Shkarlet noted the need to maintain strong working contacts, as well as to establish an academic bridge for unhindered mobility of students and University teachers of both countries.

At the end of the visit were given memorable gifts to the guests.

In turn, the Representatives of Ukraine expressed gratitude for the hospitality provided, and stressed that for their part they would do everything necessary to implement further cooperation.

The delegation of the world-famous hotel chain "Minyoun Hospitality" (China) visited the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism ana Cultural Heritage.

The purpose of the visit was to familiarize with the activities of the University for the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of tourism, as well as present unique books on Hospitality, Management, Culture and Traditions of China, as well as research in the field of tourism of the largest cities in the world. Special attention was paid to the unique edition of the book "Minyoun Hospitality", which the management of a well-known hotel chain handed over to the university Library.

For reference: “Minyoun Hospitality” is the leading hotel group in Asia, which includes six well-known hotel brands-Minyoun Pavilion Hotels, Minyoun Hotels & Resorts, Galaxy Minyoun Collective Hotels, LIA! Minyoun, LIA! Selective by Minyoun and UHO Hotels, as well as several restaurant brands, including Minyoun Yipalace, Minyoun Souphouse and Heqing Asian Restaurant.

  As part of the Samarkand modernization project “Minyoun Hospitality” Company plans to build world-class hotels “Silk Road Hotel by Minyoun” as well as “Stars of Ulugbek Hotel Lia! by Minyoun” on the territory of the Silk Road Tourist Center located in the city of Samarkand.

On November 22 of this year, Olga Novitskaya, an expert on safety protocols and service quality sent by the UNWTO Academy to Uzbekistan as part of the Facilitating Recovery Strategy after Pandemic program, held a guest lecture for students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

During the lecture, students learned how to behave correctly during an interview, how to pass it and get a job in International Companies. Great attention was also paid to trends in the conditions of globalization of the modern world. The emphasis was placed on practical classes, which later will help students get the right amount of knowledge and become successful in their business.

At the end of the lecture students asked their questions and received a detailed answer.

From November 15 to 20, 2021, the Republican Contest of the cheerful and resourceful "Quvnoqlar va zukkolar" - the final of the 2021 season was held at the Turkiston Palace of Arts in Tashkent!

It is traditional and is organized among local higher educational Institutions of the country. The jury of the competition, whose composition was represented by prominent public figures of our Republic, evaluated the tasks based on criteria such as compliance with the subject, wit, originality, artistry of performance, musicality, aesthetics, compliance with the established time frames of competitive tasks.

The team "Turist" of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage showed the highest result and won a ticket to the semifinals.

The final matches of the QVZ game will be broadcast on one of the popular youth TV channels – “Zo‘rTv”.

The Administration of the "Silk Road"  International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage congratulates guys on their victory and wishes the "Turist" team good luck in the semifinals.

Today, a number of works are being carried out to perpetuate the memory of thousands of ancestors who fought bravely to ensure the Independence of our Motherland, the freedom of our people and the land, the peaceful and prosperous life of future generations and sacrificed their dear lives, during the period of the tyrannical system, studying their activities and heritage.

Students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage together with University staff visited the Memorial Complex "In Memory of Victims of Repression" to honor the memory of our compatriots who became victims of repression, and to think deeply about national spirituality. During the visit, they got acquainted with the activities of the museum and the exhibits presented there.

The museum consists of ten sections, each of which presents photos of our compatriots, a large number of documents and materials related to the policy of repression of that time.

19 November 2021, a group of fourth-year students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage visited “Samglass” factory and its warehouse in Jomboy district. The excursion was led by Alisher Suyunov, the lecturer of the University who teaches Logistics and Aviation. 

The employees of the factory introduced the students to the aspects of the main stages of the production process, from taking an order, and to the glass cutting process at the factory.

The excursion started at the Loading zone. Then the students viewed the technological and weight-handling equipment used in the storage zone and in other production areas.

After a detailed description of glass handling process handmade glass embroidery section was introduced to the visitors too.

The Administration of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism Cultural Heritage thanks Sharipov Abduhalim the founder and general director of the glass factory, as well as Dilshod Abdurahmonov, the general manager of the factory and other employees of the “Samglass” company, who took part in organizing the excursion.

On November 19 of this year, in order to gain practical knowledge and information about the preservation of Cultural Heritage, on the initiative of the senior lecturer of the University, Takhmina Akramova, first-year students visited the Mausoleum of Amir Temur.

It is worth noting that such practical classes play a huge role for future personnel in the field of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

On November 12, 2^nd year Master’s students took part in a meeting conducted by the professional in the field of restaurant automation Khurshed Khojiev. The practical lesson was about the system “R_keeper” which helps to switch from traditional methods of restaurant management to the modern ones.

R_keeper is a trademark of the UCS company, under which software and hardware and software systems are sold, designed primarily for complex automation of restaurants.

Mr.Khojiev gave students a short talk about the history of the program and mentioned its benefits to not only the restaurant owners but also the staff.

“Better management can increase the quality of the service as well as leave memorable experience in guest’s mind and bring high sale figures to the owners through it”, said the guest.

To make the lecture more interactive for students were shown slides with the plan of the restaurant, information on Cash Desk, RK Management and Store House.

Students shared their experiences and opinions on this topic. There was a discussion about the role of waiters. During the speech, guest willingly told about the stories of his personal experience as a chef in Russia. The most common problems of Samarkand restaurants were also mentioned.

Mr.Khojiev introduced the R_keeper interface to the students, so they moved from theory to practice.

During the practical lesson, many students who have never worked in this field changed their minds and thought about catering as a complex system of hospitality and management.

On November 18 of this year, in connection with the celebration of the day of the adoption of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "The State Flag", were held events with the participation of representatives of state and public organizations, as well as students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
