"What is Cultural Heritage!"

Professor Raymond Joseph Hofmann is Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of the "SILK ROAD" University. A graduate of Harvard and Oxford Universities. Professor Hoffmann is an expert in the social scientific study of religions. His lecture deals with how societies have shaped their identities through culture, and how humans over were shapes , distinguished, and described by their own cultural products.

Students of the second and third year of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in order to familiarize themselves with the activities of leading Hotels in Uzbekistan, visited the Hilton Tashkent City Hotel and the Courtyard by Marriott Tashkent Hotel. The initiator of the practical training was Z.Makhmudova, lecturer of the course "Introduction to Tourism and Hospitality Business", with the help of HoReCa Academy of the Unitersity. During the practical lesson, students got acquainted with the history of the creation of Hotels, the number of rooms, and most importantly they learned the strategy of the Hotel Business.

On November 10 of this year, at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage was host a training seminar "FEEDBACKPRO".

FEEDBACKPRO is an author's software developed by Amirbek Mirzaev, a 3rd-year student of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, which allows you to smoothly receive feedback, complaints and suggestions by digitally questioning consumers and directly convey them to management, displaying a monthly consolidated report. Collecting feedback from customers helps determine how satisfied consumers are with your products or services and identify areas for further improvement.

Employees in the Hotel and Restaurant business took an active part in the event.

"Sport is the key to health"

On November 9 of this year, at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage was hosted competitions among the teaching staff and University staff, under the motto "Sport is the key to health" in the following areas:

1. Chess

2. Checkers

3. Table tennis

It is worth noting that this event, timed to the celebration of the "Day of the Trade Union", was organized by the Trade Union committee together with the Sports Club of our University.

The active participants were awarded certificates and valuable gifts.

The ceremony of handing over books to the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage took place at the “Hilton Tashkent City” Hotel with the participation of representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Tourism and Sports Aziz Abdukhakimov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Uzbekistan Darkhan Satybaldy.

During the conversation D.Satibaldi noted that Kazakhstan highly appreciates the attention paid in Uzbekistan to the field of education and the introduction of the latest methods in higher educational institutions of the country. It was emphasized that the formation of the library of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with world literature on tourism, history and culture of peoples on the Great Silk Road will serve to further improve the professional level of personnel in the field of tourism and the development of the tourism industry in Central Asia.

A.Abdukhakimov also expressed gratitude for the initiative of the Kazakh side, noted Uzbekistan's readiness to deepen cooperation with the countries of the Central Asian region on the development of the tourism sector, training in this area, the introduction of new regional tourist routes, as well as the early launch of a single "Silkvisa" to visit the Central Asian republics.

On November 8 of this year, students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with the purpose of familiarization with tour operator activities and raising the level of knowledge visited the company "Zamin-Travel".

Director Isrofil Usanov, who founded the Zamin-Travel company in 2003 after several years of experience as a guide, personally conducted a master class for University students on the topic: "Tour operator business in Uzbekistan".

    28-30 ноября 2021 года в Самарканде, на базе Международного университета туризма и культурного наследия «Шелковый путь», пройдёт I Международная научно-практическая конференция «Русский язык и культура в фокусе современных образовательных технологий».

    Организатор конференции – Омский государственный университет им. Ф.М. Достоевского.

    В рамках проекта «Русское слово в поликультурном мире: передовой опыт образования и обучения» преподаватели Омского государственного университета им. Ф.М. Достоевского изучат и проанализируют работу Центров открытого образования на русском языке и обучения русскому языку в странах ближнего и дальнего зарубежья.

    Проект ОмГУ получил грант Министерства просвещения РФ.

    Конференция пройдёт в очном формате, её участниками станут преподаватели русского языка в Узбекистане, организаторы Центра открытого образования на русском языке.

    В дистанционном формате к обсуждению актуальных проблем функционирования центров русского языка и культуры присоединятся ученые и педагоги из стран-партнеров проекта – Испании, Эстонии, Германии, Финляндии, Турции, Словении, Казахстана, Республики Беларусь.

    Предметом обсуждения на мастер-классах и дискуссионных площадках станут современные инновационные методики обучения русскому языку как иностранному, успешный опыт организации преподавания русского языка за рубежом.

   Приглашаем к участию ученых, преподавателей и учителей-филологов, в т.ч. преподавателей русского языка как иностранного, студентов и аспирантов, представителей органов власти, а также образовательных учреждений и общественных организаций, занимающихся образованием на русском языке и продвижением русской культуры в зарубежных странах.

   Материалы конференции будут опубликованы и станут доступны широкой зарубежной общественности – всем, кто интересуется русским языком и русской культурой.

Volunteering for the good

On November 7 of this year, in the Samarkand city was held a race as a part of the "Samarkand Half Marathon".

Samarkand Half Marathon is an annual International charity run. The organizer of the Half Marathon is the Art and Culture Development Foundation under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as with the khokimiyat of the Samarkand region and the city of Samarkand.

The main goal of the project is to draw public attention to the problem of inclusiveness at cultural and artistic sites of the country, as well as to popularize a healthy lifestyle and develop sports tourism in Uzbekistan. The proceeds from the Half Marathon will go to a charitable purpose - employment of people with disabilities in cultural institutions.

Both experienced and new runners took part in the half marathon on distances of 21 km, 10 km and 2 km.

The "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage did not stand aside, Administration and the students of University as volunteers and participants, took an active part in the organization of this event.
