Representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage are taking part in the 2nd meeting of the joint Commission of Uzbekistan and Turkey on tourism, held in Antalya.

During the meeting, a presentation on the activities of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage was held for representatives of the tourism and cultural heritage of Turkey.

During the negotiations with representatives of the private sector, the issues of developing and promoting together with TGA common tourist routes in the areas of cultural tourism defined by the concept of " Tabarruk ziyorat ", organizing advanced training of students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on summer holidays with tour operators as part of TÜRSAB, as well as in popular hotels in Turkey, conducting exchange of professors and teachers, discussed issues such as cooperation in replenishing the library with scientific literature.

During the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan to Japan, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Toyo University in Tokyo and the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand. This agreement was implemented with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Japan.

During the visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan headed by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Aziz Abdukhakimov to Japan, a meeting was held with Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Toyo University Shinji Fukukawa, President of the University Esuko Yaguchi and a number of other responsible persons.

During the meeting, Aziz Abdukhakimov informed the leadership of Toyo University about the ongoing reforms in the field of tourism and cultural heritage in Uzbekistan, as well as about innovations in the activities of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

Shinji Fukukawa noted that Uzbekistan and Japan have great potential in implementing joint projects in the field of education. The possibilities of establishing cooperation between the two state higher educational institutions, activating scientific and academic exchanges, sending Japanese professors to Uzbekistan and internships of Uzbek students at Toyo University were considered.

Yesuko Yaguchi expressed readiness to cooperate with Uzbekistan in the field of humanities, exact and applied sciences, joint research on “green” and “sustainable” tourism, as well as restoration of objects.

The Japanese side highly appreciated Uzbekistan's initiative to allocate 85 state grants to the Samarkand “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage for citizens of the Silk Road countries.

The parties reached an agreement on conducting research in the field of tourism, including the study of the heritage of Buddhism in Uzbekistan, the restoration of Buddhist monuments, archaeological excavations, scientific seminars and research.

During the meeting, an agreement was also reached on organizing a visit of the leadership and professors of Toyo University to Uzbekistan, during which the participants will get acquainted with the tourist and educational potential of the country and strengthen cooperation ties.

In addition, the issue of creating a summer campus for students of Toyo University was discussed at the Samarkand “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

Following the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and Toyo University, providing for academic cooperation, joint research, and the application of Japan's best practices in the field of tourism.

On October 12 of this year, the head of “Facetime Management Service” (FMS) United Arab Emirates, member of the Swiss Business Council Mr. N.P.Kudin visited the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The guest of honor was met by the first Vice-rector J.Eltazarov.

During the introductory tour, Mr. Patrick Kudin was introduced to the unique smart campus and the innovative library of the university. The guest was impressed by the management model and advanced technologies used in the teaching process, as well as the unique historical elements of the Great Silk Road installed by the galleries and the University Library.

During the visit, Patrick Kudin held a guest lecture to students and faculty of the university. He spoke in detail about the activities of the Swiss Education Group, and also spoke about a new educational program based on the Swiss education system in the field of hotel management, service and other areas.

During the conversation, the students received answers to their questions in the field of hotel management and service.

 A government decree has established that 50% of the monthly rent paid by students living in rented housing that does not belong to them is reimbursed at the expense of budgetary funds. (https://lex.uz/docs/-5657191). This year, students studying in the first year and living in rented housing will be compensated for part of the rent without concluding a lease agreement, from November – the availability of the contract will be mandatory.

Therefore, the issue of preserving family peace, preventing divorce, studying the causes and consequences that lead to this is very important.

The head of the Department for Youth Work and Events of the University N.Abduvakhidova, together with the chairman of the Women's Council M.Abbasova, as well as with organizations related to this area, conducted a preventive event aimed at preventing the consequences of divorces for various reasons and preventing separation between young people.

Psychological conversations were conducted, the main purpose of which is to lay the foundations for the strength of one family that is part of society.

The staff of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and special subject teachers of the Khiva Technical College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Margilan Technical College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Andijan College of Tourism and Service are receiving further training at the Dublin University of Technology in Ireland. The traineeship is funded by the German International Community (GIS).

During the in-service training the teachers plan to study the state of development of Ireland's tourism sector following the pandemic coronavirus, integration between the Irish educational system, particularly training in tourism and hotel management, and theory and practice in the field of tourism. All professional development costs of the participants were covered by the German International Community (GIS).

Nodira Samatova, who worked as a leading specialist in the Information Resource Center and Marketing and Recruiting departments, received an educational grant to study under the Master's program in International Public Policy (based on research) at the University of Tsukuba (Japan).

On December 19, 2011, the United Nations General Assembly adopted resolution 66/170, proclaiming October 11 the International Day of Girls and recognizing their rights.

In 2022, we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the International Day of Girls.

A solemn event dedicated to the International Day of Girls, organized by the Chairman of the Women's Council of the University M.Abbasova, was held at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage from early morning.  

This event was attended by the first Vice-rector J.Eltazarov, the staff, as well as the teaching staff of the university.

“Over the past 10 years, issues of importance to girls have received significantly more attention at all levels, and girls have more opportunities to have their voices heard. The empowerment of women and girls and the promotion of gender equality are crucial to accelerating sustainable development. The elimination of all forms of discrimination against women and girls is not only one of the fundamental human rights, but also has multiple benefits in all other areas of development.” - noted the first Vice-rector J.Eltazarov.

During the event, certificates were awarded to foreign students, as well as students who helped in the organization of this event.
