Psychological well-being as a health factor

On March 2 of this year, as part of the Day of Kindness and Love for Loved Ones, the psychologist of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Dildora Turdieva organized a motivational training.

In the modern world, human feelings and moral qualities are increasingly receding into the background. Vanity, everyday problems completely absorb people, many have emotional burnout. Therefore, it is very important to achieve psychological well-being today.

The purpose of today's training is the formation of positive thinking, the ability to manage your mood, the creation of positive emotions, stress relief, the development of emotional stability, self-confidence, friendly attitude to each other, increasing the mood for good luck, happiness, kindness, peace and success.

During the training, psychologist Dildora Turdieva conducted a number of interesting psychological experiments, games, and an affirmation session, which contributed to improving the general mood of those present. The motivational training was held in an interactive form, suggestions, points of view and personal opinions were heard.

The kind and warm atmosphere, where there was a place for relaxation music and a coffee break, had a positive effect on all participants of the training. In a word, the goal was achieved!

On February 28 2022 year, at the Assembly Hall of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage was held a seminar for the female half of the University on the topic: "Etiquette, image and requirements for employee".

          This event was organized by the department for work with mahallas, youth and event organizations, during which the head of the department N.Abduvakhidova noted that in recent years more and more attention has been paid to the image and etiquette of University staff. The main importance is attached to the substantiation of the principles and norms of moral behavior of persons participating in the educational environment.

All women who took part in the seminar received exhaustive answers to their questions.

On March 2 this year, on the basis of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, was organized a round table meeting to discuss the implementation of measures to support professional tourism and service colleges, as well as discuss expected results and plan further steps.

This event was attended by the GIZ project manager, Ms. Beate Shorayt, International expert in the field of hospitality and sustainable tourism Maeve Obrine, representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, representatives of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, as well as leaders professional colleges of tourism and service in Andijan, Margilan and Khiva.

During this meeting, was organized an official ceremony to transfer specialized literature in the field of tourism to the library fund of professional colleges of tourism and service.

Within the framework of the GIZ project “Support for Economic Reforms and Sustainable Economic Development in Uzbekistan” together with the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, it is planned to implement measures to develop tourism in pilot regions in the following areas:

1. Support for 3 professional colleges of tourism and service, including assistance in the implementation of elements of the dual system

2. Development of a tourism development strategy in Karakalpakstan

3. Development of tourism in the Ferghana Valley:

− Community based tourism (CBT pilot project)

− Capacity building for service providers

− Promotion of the tourism potential of the Ferghana Valley

− Promoting the potential of handicrafts

Brief information about the project

The project “Support for Economic Reforms and Sustainable Economic Development in Uzbekistan” has been implemented since June 2021 and is currently working in 5 regions in such areas as the development of value chains in agriculture (organic fruit production, certification, fish farming, animal husbandry) cooperation with the Academy state Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the development of the tourism sector.

On March 1 of this year, at the Assembly Hall of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on the initiative of the Chairman of the Women's Council was held an event dedicated to the 107th anniversary of the birth of poet Zulfiya Israilova, one of the brightest poets of Uzbek poetry.

The event was opened by the chairman of the Women's Council of the University M.Abbasova, who made an introductory speech and congratulated everyone on the spring holiday, the season of renewal. Also during the meeting, the dean of the Faculty of “Tourism Management” of the “Silk Road” University R. Tashniezova spoke about the outstanding poetry of the poetess. It is recognized that the poetess made a huge contribution to the development of national literature and culture, raising the spirituality of the people with her outstanding talents, mature works of art that glorify love for the Motherland, a sense of loyalty and devotion, her exemplary life and social activities. Excerpts from the work of the poetess Zulfiya were read at the event, and her poems praising the Motherland were also heard.

“The main purpose of this event, of course, is to form in the hearts of girls a sense of pride for their ancestors and the desire to become worthy of their heirs, to be brave, courageous at the crossroads of life, to be faithful to their cause. Such events teach students independent thinking, independent reading, reasoning. Another important thing is that thanks to such events, the desire for knowledge and recreation is harmonized, which makes a worthy contribution to the meaningful leisure of students," says N.Abduvakhidova, head of the Department for work with mahallya, youth and event organizations.

Cooperation with schools

On March 1 of this year, the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road” was visited by students of the 10th grade of the specialized state secondary school №1 of the city of Samarkand.

They visited a unique training practical complex, which includes hotel rooms, a bar-restaurant; a conference hall equipped with advanced technologies, a university canteen designed in the style of a cafeteria, a universal sports hall, a library and a swimming pool.
