As a part of the weekly educational events held by the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in the mahallas of the Samarkand region, the teacher of the University O. Nabiev made a working visit to the mahalla “Yangi Hayot” of the Taylak district of the Samarkand region.

During the visit, there was held a round table between the citizens of the mahalla and youth, organized according to the principle “Education is the engine of spiritual and educational progress”.

Residents of the mahalla and youth took an active part in this event. The participants of the event shared the information expressed in the message of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan that “The threshold of a new Uzbekistan begins from school”, told about the circles currently operating in secondary schools on the territory of the mahalla. The participants and speakers provided relevant recommendations and instructions for improving the activities of the circles in these schools.

Also, graduates of the 11th grades and their parents were provided with detailed information about the directions and specialties available at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The participants of the event received full and detailed answers to their questions.

On May 23 this year, an informal meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan with pupils of the Presidential School of Samarkand took place at the main attraction of the city of Samarkand – Registan Square.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage for Investments, Tourism Clusters and Licensing N. Zikrillaev, the Head of the Department for Training and Promotion of Science in the Field of Tourism A. Eshtaev, as well as representatives of the “Silk Road” University – First Vice-Rector J. Eltazarov, youth leader of the University – S. Khaydarov.

During the meeting, N.Zikrillaev spoke in detail about the work done in the field of tourism, as well as the importance of potential personnel trained at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. It is noteworthy that most of the schoolchildren are graduates, many of whom are going to enroll the “Silk Road” University.

The administration of Registan Square organized a tour of the ensemble for the schoolchildren of the Presidential School and told in detail about the history of this complex.

On May 23 this year, representatives of the French Development Agency Antoine Chevalier and Arnaud Demarchelier visited the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

This meeting was attended by the First Vice-Rector J.Eltazarov and the Head of the Department of International Grants Sh.Ramazonov.

The French Development Agency has been financing projects in various fields in Uzbekistan since 2015. In particular, it finances projects in the field of supplying clean drinking water and transport logistics in Samarkand. To date, projects worth 800 million euros have been financed by the Agency.

The French Development Agency and the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage plan to establish cooperation in the field of tourism in the direction of education “Logistics”. In particular, university students will have the opportunity to study on a grant basis at the Master’s program at the University of Tourism and Transport Logistics in Marseille, France.

During the talks, which took place in a warm atmosphere, the parties agreed on cooperation in a number of other areas.

On May 20 of this year, the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage was visited by a large delegation from the Baltic countries, headed by the director of the Trade House of Uzbekistan Vladimir Galperins. The delegation consisted of the Vice-President of the Latvian Association of Travel Agents and Operators, the head of the “Baltic Travel Group” company – Vladislav Koryagin, the Executive Director of the Association of Latvian Travel Agents and Operators (ALTA) – Astrida Trupovnieca, as well as bloggers, media influencers and representatives of the press of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland.

An excursion around the campus was organized for the guests of honor, the delegation was acquainted with the history of the University, the latest technologies used in the educational process, laboratories, a conference hall, a gym and the University Library.

During the visit, they were presented with the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, Samarkand region in particular.

On May 20 this year, the Career Day event was held for a summer internship at a large international company, British American Tobacco. The event was held in the assembly hall of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The representative of the company, the head of the recruitment department, Kadyrova S., provided information about the summer internship under the “Career Start” program, the selection of candidates for which will be held on a competitive basis. It was also noted that the “British American Tobacco Uzbekistan” company is looking for ambitious, full of enthusiasm and energy, university students.

On May 20 this year, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage hosted the Korean Festival event, thanks to which students got acquainted with the rich culture and traditions of the Republic of Korea. The event was organized by the efforts of the Student Parliament, teachers and tutors.

During the event, there was presented a large concert program, which was full of Korean folk songs and dances. This event made a great impression on the audience, demonstrating the friendship and spiritual closeness between Uzbek and Korean nations.

On May 17 of this year, the chairman of the Women’s Council of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage – M. Abbasova, the dean of the faculty “Management in Tourism” – R. Tashniyozova and the psychologist D. Turdiyeva visited Students’ Hostel No. 5.

Representatives of the University got acquainted with the living conditions of the girls and listened to their problems and suggestions related to the educational process and social life. M. Abbasova and R. Tashniyozova urged female students to be socially active along with scientific research, not to be indifferent to the life of the University and society.

Psychologist D.Turdiyeva carried out psychodiagnostic work to identify the mental health and emotional state of female students. The girls passed tests-questionnaires to determine cases of depression and neurasthenia.

During the visit, there was held a round table between the citizens of the mahalla and youth, organized according to the principle “Education is the engine of spiritual and educational progress”.

Residents of the mahalla and youth took an active part in this event. Also, citizens of the mahalla were provided with information about the wise policy currently being pursued in our country and the attention paid to areas, and the youth of the mahalla were told about the topic of choosing a future profession.

During the conversation, it was provided detailed information about the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

In order to meaningfully spend leisure time for students at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage another tournament was held as part of a series of “Zakovat” intellectual games.

Weekly intellectual games serve as the basis for gaining new knowledge and experience.
