As previously reported, according to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan № 137-D of 6 March 2024, on 16-18 March of this year was organised a nationwide charitable khashar under the slogan "A well-maintained and prosperous mahalla is the decoration of the country", according to which the khashar was held with the participation of staff of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Fruit and ornamental trees were planted and trees were shaped. Flowers of different varieties were planted and the surrounding green area was cleaned up. On the second day of khashar, classrooms, doors and windows in the university building were completely cleaned of dust and rubbish. The staff also managed to tidy up the library, National Costume Gallery. On the third day of khashar, trees were whitewashed and rubbish heaps were removed from the corners of the canal located near the university. In general, all the employees of our university participated in this nationwide charitable khashar.

           According to the relevant decision of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the order of the rector A.A. Abdukhakimov, Dilmurod Abdulloevich Nasimov was appointed to the position of First Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs.

           Nasimov Dilmurod Abdulloevich graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Samarkand State University and received a master’s degree in this area from the same university. He completed his doctorate at Tomas Bata University in the Czech Republic. Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor.

          Before this period, Nasimov Dilmurod Abdulloyevich worked for several years as director of the Samarkand regional branch of the Academy of Public Administration, head of the department of scientific research and training of scientific-pedagogical staff and head of the department at Samarkand State University.

           The rector of the university A.A. Abdukhakimov introduced prof. D.A.Nasimov to the university team, wished him success in the position of First Vice-Rector and emphasized the need to pay attention to the implementation of the university’s priority objectives.

Today, March 15, in order to ensure the implementation of the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan IP-19 dated January 12, 2024 on the wide promotion of the Uzbek language among foreign students, a literary evening with the participation of members of the regional branch of the Union of Writers was held in the information and resource centre of our university. The event, which was attended by our foreign and domestic students, was attended by M. Abbasova, the chairperson of the women's council of our university, headed by the president. The event was initially attended by Zulfiyakhanim, an eminent artist, a student of Samarkand and today he is one of the members of the regional branch of the Union of Writers. Karimova spoke at length about the role and importance of the Uzbek language in literature. Then a member of the regional branch of the Union of Writers, poet E. Makhmudova read and delivered from her praise poems about her homeland and the Uzbek language. Also at the event, Head of the Department of Languages and Global Studies of our university, Associate Professor T. Sultanov told about the establishment of the department at our university for the implementation of the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan PP-19 of 12 January 2024 and consistent work in this direction.

At the event, talented students performed and showed an excerpt from Kadiri's work "Days Gone By" by a famous writer of the Uzbek nation. Our students also read their creative works at the event. The event was memorable because it was organised at a high level and made a great impression on all international students.

           According to the relevant decision of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the order of the rector A.A. Abdukhakimov, Doctor of Philology, Professor Juliboy Donaboevich Eltazarov was relieved of the post of First Vice-rector of the university at his own request.

           At the meeting held on this occasion, the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the University A.A.Abdukhakimov thanked prof. J.Eltazarov for many years of productive work in this position and, according to national traditions, presented him chapan and announced a letter of gratitude.

           University Rector A.A.Abdukhakimov expressed hope thatJ.D.Eltazarov, as a university professor, will take an active part in the future activities of the university. In turn, Prof. J.Eltazarov expressed satisfaction that he made a small contribution to the establishment of  “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, introducing it into the ranks of the leading universities in our country, as well as the process of national accreditation and certification. He also promised to actively participate in the educational, scientific work and international relations of our university in his future activities.
