On October 19 of this year, the team of students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage also took an active part in the competition “Five Initiative Olympiads” on volleyball sports tour among students of universities of Samarkand region and was able to show a positive result.    

On October 25, 2021, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M.Mirziyoyev, in order to ensure the implementation of priority tasks set at the meeting of video directors held on November 2, 2021, and to fulfill the priorities set by the administrator of Samarkand region on September 16, 2023 to plant decorative, fruit trees and shrubs in the autumn period of 2023 within the framework of the nationwide project “Green Space”, employees and staff of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage have planted trees in the territory of the university.

It is important to note that 174 trees - chestnuts, lindens, maples, pines, firs and ginka biloba - were planted on the university campus.

Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M.Mirziyoyev at a video selector meeting on 2 November 2021, and ensuring the implementation of the tasks of Samarkand region administrator dated 16 September 2023 to create a scenic area in the region, planting fruit trees and shrubs in the autumn season of 2023 within the framework of the national project “Green Space”, in connection with the construction of a new building of the Academy under the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on 16 October of this year, planting of decorative trees and various flowers was carried out in the territory.

As part of this work, workers and university employees planted tree seedlings such as 100 chestnut trees, 30 linden trees, 5 maple trees, 24 pine trees, 180 fir trees and 30 trees of ginka biloba. As part of the landscaping programme, 20 species of rare 200 decorative trees were planted on the university campus.

On 23 October of the current year, the chairman of the women’s council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage M.Abbasova held a meeting of the club “Kizlarjon” under the council. Within its framework there was a presentation of video clips on the topic “Value of time” by talented female students of our university with the purpose of consolidation of knowledge received by our youth, organisation of their free time with benefit, and at the same time further strengthening of their social, political and legal knowledge, increase of their intellectual potential.

On 24 October of this year, the director of the Astana Higher Trade and Economic College of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mirzabek Kujimov visited our university. The first vice-rector of our university, Professor J.Eltazarov held a conversation with the guest. In the process of conversation discussed a wide range of works carried out today in the field of tourism and in the system of professional education, the results of co-operation. 

As information it should be said that on 23-27 October a group of teachers of the Higher Trade and Economic College of Astana city of the Republic of Kazakhstan exchanged work experience in Samarkand Technical School of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and its partner enterprises and organisations.

During the week of innovative ideas "InnoWeek-2023", held in the Samarkand region under the slogan "Creative education and innovation - the basis for the development of a new Uzbekistan", professors of the Silk Road University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, teachers and students were awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Department of Higher Education and Science and innovation for active participation and contribution to the basis of creative education and innovation in the development of New Uzbekistan.
