Chairman of the Women's Council of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage M. Abbasova, University psychologist D. Abdullayev, captains of "Girls' Leader Club and Kizlarjan" Bahramkulova Fatima and Bahramkulova Zuhro, scholarship holder of the President Mustafakulova Sabina on May 20 together with the graduates of the 20th secondary school of preschool and school education of Samarkand organized promotional events dedicated to the advantages and opportunities provided to support women's education in our country.

At the event, full statistical data on the reforms adopted by the representatives of the university on the inclusion of young people, especially women, in higher education were presented.

Today the interest in tourism education in our country is growing day by day. A bright example of this is the daily visit of school graduates to our university.

During the past weeks 1 IDUM of Samarkand, 29, 47, 33, 14, 63, 64, 71 students of 11th grades of high schools visited our university and carefully familiarized with the conditions created for students. The students received detailed information from O. Rustamov, Head of Admissions and Marketing Department, with information about the opportunities of our university, about the prospects of future specialist in the field of tourism and cultural heritage. After that, a round table was organized between the school graduates and foreign teachers teaching at our university.

The Sports Club of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organized chess classes 2 times a week in order to identify special talents in the field of sport among pupils.

R.Ruhshona, assistant lecturer of the Department of Tourism at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and doctoral student of the university, presented a lecture on "Sustainable Tourism Practices" at HTWG Konstanz University of Applied Sciences, ranked 478th in the QS World University Rankings - 2024 of the International Agency. During the lecture, information was presented about the work carried out on the development of sustainable tourism in Uzbekistan, about green economy and its inextricable link with sustainable tourism. Importantly, this lecture attracted great interest among the audience, as well as a lot of discussion and debate.

One of the main tasks is to further improve the effectiveness of cultural and educational work at the university, as well as to educate and young students in the spirit of love for the theater art and guide them to spiritual perfection.

Under the direction of Odil Boynazarov, head of the student theater group of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, a performance "Samaria" based on the historical facts of "Samaria" by Abu Tohirkhoji was prepared and presented to local and foreign guests at Registan Square in Samarkand. The students performed the roles of the heroes of this work with great skill and received great applause from the audience.

On May 17, women's council of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organized a spiritual-educational event on the theme "You are always holy - a holy woman" dedicated to the 77th anniversary of the singer of love and kindness Khalima Khudayberdieva.

The guest of the event, poet, writer, journalist, playwright Karimberdi Turmurodov, took part in a poetry lecture on the theme "A woman who found happiness in poetry" and told the students about the life and creative path of Khalimakhon Khudayberdieva.

Also at the end of the event the student youth read samples from poems and works of the poet and received answers to questions. The poetry event made a great impression on the participants.

In today's era of globalization, the first initiative of the five most important initiatives of the President, as well as the meaningful realization of students' free time - in order to further enhance young people's interest in music, painting, literature, theater and other arts, in support of their efforts to discover their talent, tutors working at our university visited the university boulevard with students and had a cultural break in nature, singing poems and songs with students.

On the "Student Safety Day" at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage a morning briefing was held for the university tutors. According to the instruction, the tutors analyzed the conditions and socio-psychological and everyday problems related to independent study in the student dormitory, helped to solve them. They closely studied the state of observance of internal etiquette and sanitary and hygienic rules in the student dormitory.

Also the territory of the university, where the tutors are on duty, is monitored with the help of video monitoring. Attendance activities were conducted as part of the propaganda events.

         On May 16-17 of this year the international scientific-practical conference "Cultural Echoes on the Silk Road: bridging historical legacies with modern tourism" was held at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

         The international scientific-practical conference started with the speech of the First Vice Rector of the university for administrative affairs Prof. D. Nasimov. Dr. Amir Singh, Vice Rector of the Singapore Institute of Management Development in Tashkent, Professor Mavluda Yusupova, Director of Silk Road Research Institute, Tony Zou, Vice Rector for Research, Innovation and Commercialization of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Joseph Hoffmann, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of "Silk Road" International University, Asghar Mehmood Sufyan, Head of School of Business and Management, as well as local and foreign researchers also took part in the event.

        The speakers emphasized the importance of realizing the social, economic, political and cultural ties of the Silk Road peoples today, exchanging ideas with the researchers of our republic and the world, as well as improving the quality and efficiency of research work of young scientists, master's students, PhD students and specialists.

        The conference, attracting the attention of the scientific community and devoted to important issues of interaction between historical heritage and modern tourism, is continuing its work.

Recently, the team of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage took the first place in the regional edition of the intellectual game "Zakovat", which was held among the higher educational institutions of our region. We congratulate our knowledge- thirsty student youth with this success and wish them good luck at the republican stage.
