Today, May 3-4, the international scientific-practical conference "Innovative approaches to the study of language, literature, translation, tourism and cultural heritage on Silk Road", which is held at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, has started. Opening the international conference with an introductory speech, the rector of the university A.Abdukhakimov welcomed all the participants of the conference, professors and teachers from abroad to "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, wishing good luck in the work of the conference. After that, Mehmet Temizkan, Professor of the Department of Literature of the Turkish World, Institute of Turkish World Studies, Ege University, Turkey, started the opening lecture of the conference.

For information, it should be said that this prestigious conference deals with identifying innovative approaches, aspects and facets of communication in the study of language, literature, translation, tourism, cultural heritage, pedagogy in Silk Road countries, as well as analyzing the world's work carried out in these fields, speeding up the wide promotion of our country's tourism potential in domestic and foreign markets by analyzing the world's work carried out in these fields, studying international experience and reviewing scientific and practical works on similar topics.

On May 4, 2024, at 10:00 am (university building room number 108) at the Scientific Seminar in the presence of Scientific Council numbered under DSc.33/01.02.2022.I.145.01 will take place the defence of dissertation work of Ablaizov Akbar Abduvafo o‘g‘li, doctorate (PhD) student of “Samarkand institute of economics and service” on the topic “Development of an effective system for organizing and developing ecotourism in Uzbekistan” in the speciality of 08.00.17-Tourism and hotel activities.

On May 3, 2024 at 14:00 in the office № 229 of the university by the department of research activities and the Dean of the Faculty will be organized an educational seminar on how candidates from among the students of our university will apply for the preliminary stage of consideration for the scholarships of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and personal state scholarships in 2024. We invite all bachelor students who wish to participate in the competition to attend this seminar.

On the first day of May, Ms D. Turdieva, the psychologist of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage held a motivational training “I - am!”.  M. Abbasova, the Chairperson of the Women’s Council and G. Khusainova, the tutor, were invited to take part in the event.

The training included psychological techniques, games and psychogymnastic exercises psychological techniques and psychogymnastic exercises which helped to form team spirit, cohesion, increase self-confidence and self-acceptance. The event, organized in an inspiring way, gave the participants a good mood and strong motivation to learn and work more effectively.

On April 27 of this year in the student dormitory of the university tutor Gavkhar Khusainova held master classes on the meaningful spending of free time of female students and preparation of Uzbek national dishes.

The purpose of this was to improve the skills of our female students in cooking our national dishes in different ways and to show them practical processes that will be needed in cooking in their independent life.

During the event, the mentor gave advice on culinary secrets, cooking rules, using quality products and keeping clean.

Today, May 2, a meeting was held with the participation of activists and students of the university women's council.

At the meeting, Chairwoman of the Women's Council of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage M. Abbasova told about the impressions she received at the national training seminar "Increasing social and political activity of women, issues of gender equality and gender culture", which was held in Bukhara State University on April 18-19 of this year and shared her recommendations.

During the meeting, a video clip and presentation about the training seminar were shown.

Tutor M.Raupova organized an event on the topic "The Book I Loved" in the student dormitory of the university. The tutor told about how important it is for students to read books in their free time. After all, reading a book allows you to live with the reality of what you read, while giving pleasure to the person. It is important to find a lot of meaning and content from a work in a book, and to gain spiritual energy from morals and concepts such as patience and perseverance.

Also at the event, the tutor shared information that is important to prepare students for family life.  During the roundtable, a special pause was taken on the topic of national customs and values.

On May 1, a youth and student club was organized, which was selected from among student volunteers by Ilham Negmatov, Chief Specialist of Compliance Control Department of our university.

In this regard, a round table was organized with the participation of volunteers, where after the introductory part some problems plaguing students today were discussed. 

The organized round table was very intense and clarified some misunderstandings. Further the compliance control department of our university told that situations with such misunderstandings are studied and solved on the spot.

It was also said that the university will take measures to prevent corruption and violations of the law, and such roundtables will be held on a regular basis.

Marathon "5000 Steps to Health"

In order to ensure the implementation of the decree of the head of our state "On measures for the widespread introduction of a healthy lifestyle and further development of mass sports", a number of events are held at "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage within the framework of the "Share Education" project.

On May 1, 2024, a walking marathon of university students under the motto "5000 steps to health" was held from early morning on the university boulevard in Samarkand. It was attended by more than 250 volunteers, including teachers, students, activists, heads and staff of the university.

As part of the marathon, the volunteer participants walked the specified distance and performed a morning exercise in the courtyard of our university.

It should be noted that such events, which are the basis of physical and spiritual health improvement, are significant because they are aimed at widespread promotion of a healthy lifestyle among the population.

Recently, Samarkand State Medical University held a forum on the topic "Freelancing and e-commerce - the profession of the future", in which tutor P.Islomov took part from our university and our students performed. The forum provided interesting information on the topic and answered the questions of the participants. At the event students received souvenirs from the organizers, who answered correctly and clearly to the questions of the quiz on various topics.  Students of our university also took an active part in this forum, found answers to a number of quiz questions and were recognized.
