Medieval restaurant ROZENGRALS - time machine in the center of Riga (Latvia) announces admission for a three-month paid internship for students.

The duration of the internship

  • 90 days. Students of full-time, part-time, extramural forms of education in the field of hospitality, tourism and service are welcome to take part in the program.
  • Vacancies: waiters, bartenders, animators, hostesses.
  • Monthly income 937 EUR, 7 EUR/hours (+ tip).
  • Work schedule 17 days a month,4 days a week,11 hours a day
  • Weekends 2 days a week (possibility to visit different Schengen cities).
  • The employer provides you with 3 meals, health insurance and visa support.

3.Rent of an apartment - from 200 EUR per month + utilities (you can rent a part of an apartment or a hostel, then it can be cheaper. (As we know, 3 or 4 people can rent an apartment). The employer assists in finding an apartment.

4.The streetcar, trolleybus, bus monthly passes (30 EUR per month).

With the aim of getting acquainted with the living conditions of students, finding out the degree of formed environment, assisting in making a rental agreement with the owners of the house for the new academic year, which was established by the University Women’s Advisory Council on 22 May 2023 on the basis of the plan, Head M.Abbasova and Tutor G.Khusainova organized another visit to the houses of students living in rental accommodation.

In particular, in Samarkand city boulevard “Chakar” MFIU №4 hostess (tenant Amal Gulomzoda) living in rented flats 2nd year students in the field of “Tour” 220 Muhlisa Suleymanova and Tuhtaeva Ozoda were fully acquainted with the living conditions, fire and other technical safety requirements of neat people. During the dialogue, the students emphasised national values, traditions and subtleties of oriental upbringing of family housewives.

In fact, our values are particularly significant in that they are aimed at boosting the morale of our students and girls. Each student-girl was told to always remember that they are university students, to keep the rented flat clean and tidy, and to give adequate explanations on basic fire and other technical safety issues. Visits to rented student addresses continue.

On 20 May of this year, the international ethno-festival “Besh qit’a jilosi” was held at “Boqiy shahar”, located in the city of Samarkand. In this international ethno-festival, the students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage participated actively in a production that showcased the cultures of the peoples of the five continents.

Festival “Besh qit’a jilosi” is an important event in the cultural life of Samarkand, where various nationalities from around the world gather to share their unique culture and traditions. Silk Road University students have been actively involved in organising and hosting the festival, demonstrating their keen interest in the cultural heritage of different peoples.

The graduation, which was presented by the students, is a true work of art, reflecting the richness and diversity of the cultures of the five continents. They presented dances, songs, music, folk crafts and traditional costumes of various peoples of the world. This unique performance delighted the audience, who were able to experience the magic of diversity and the beautiful world of cultural heritage.

“Silk Road Team”, a student sports club, was established by the Academic Council at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and registered with the Department of Justice. The club’s partners are “Talaba” Republican Sports Association. “Silk Road Team” sports club is a structural subdivision of the university and carries out activities for the development of physical education and sport.

Rector A.A.Abdukhakimov, deputy and direct supervisor of practical activities - Z.H.Kafiev, who is master of sports in kurash and numerous winner of wrestling competitions, are honorary chairmen of the sports club.

The main aims of Silk Road Team sports club:

- Creating conditions for the university students and employees to participate in various recreational, physical culture and sports activities;

- To organize the process of health improvement of students and university staff by means of physical culture and sport, active and purposeful propaganda of healthy way of life;

- Setting up sports associations, sections and teams in different kinds of sports, cooperation with sports federations;

- Promotion and active implementation of physical culture and sports, healthy lifestyle.

The main objectives of Silk Road Team sports club are:

- Introduction of physical culture and sports in educational and work activities, everyday life and recreation of students, postgraduates, teachers and employees of the university;

- Attraction of students to participate and conduct mass physical culture and sports activities; organization and conduct of educational and training process in sports sections, groups, combined teams;

- Formation of members of national sports teams and ensuring their participation in sports competitions.

Student Sports Club “Silk Road Team” develops the following sports: swimming, mini-football, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, chess, arm-wrestling, lacrosse, plans to organise taekwondo WT classes and international cooperation in the sphere of physical culture, sport and tourism.

Our coaches are highly qualified specialists, having sports achievements and great experience in training athletes. The sports club is equipped with all necessary facilities, a gym and a swimming pool.

A working group of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan has started the process of external attestation of the bachelor’s and master’s degrees of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The external attestation process is carried out according to the Order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 97 of 17 April 2023, Decision No. 470 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan of 7 June 2019 “On improvement of the procedure for attestation and state accreditation of state educational institutions and non-state educational organizations” and on the basis of the joint resolution of the Ministry of Innovative Development of 27 January 2020 “On approval of criteria for attestation of educational organizations” of 22-31 May of this year.

On May 20, 2023 year at 11:00 a.m. in conference Hall of“Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage within the meeting of Scientific Council numbered under DSc.33/01.02.2022.I.145.01 which grants scientific degrees in economic sciences, the defense of dissertation work on the topic “Improving the processes of providing the tourism sector with qualified personnel in the context of innovative development” of Juliboy o‘g‘li Oybek, a doctorate student of Samarkand state university named after Sharof Rashidov will take place.

2. The defence of the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) dissertation work of a doctorate student of Samarkand state university named after Sharof Rashidov, Amirov Akmal Merojovich, in the speciality of 08.00.17- Tourism and Hospitality Activities on the topic "Regional features and prospects directions for the development of agrotourism (on the example of the Samarkand region)" will take place on May 20, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Conference Hall of the university during the Scientific Council meeting numbered under DSc.33/01.02. 2022.I.145.01.

A delegation of Karaganda University named after academician E.A.Buketov, as part of its visit, visited Samarkand Archaeological Institute named after Y.Gulyamov. On 18 May 2023 the head of the Women’s Advisory Council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage M.Abbasova organized an event among female students on the theme “National folk games are the pride of the nation's youth”.In her speech Head of the Council said that the folk games of Uzbekistan have their past, rich history, are passed from ancestors to generations by inheritance, our spiritual wealth. After all, for each of our national games has a special place in development of youth in all aspects - healthy, physically strong and resourceful.The fact that through the wider promotion of a number of national games, now forgotten, they follow the healthy lifestyle of our young people, together with their intellectual potential, remind them again of the ancient folk games that serve their adult physical improvement, is the initial aim of the event.Following this, the female students, divided into groups, began skillfully demonstrating such age-old folk games as “Kim oladi-yo shuginani-yo” from simulation games, “Halinchak” from action games, “Oq terakmi - ko‘k terak” from word-action games, “Besh tosh”.  Each folk game presented by the participants of the event was observed by the participants and the organisers.“Each of our folk games requires courage, bravery, truthfulness and resourcefulness,” said Fatima Bakhromkulova, one of our female students who took part in the event. The young people who took an active part in completing the event were awarded a badge of honour from the University Women’s Advisory Council and souvenirs.

On 18 May 2023 Rebik Sabanovic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Croatia in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan and Governor of the Croatian National Bank, Boris Vujcic, visited “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Rector of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage A.Abdukhakimov personally welcomed the honoured guests. The purpose of the visit was to acquaint the guests with the university and establish friendly cooperation.

In this meeting, stating that they have heard many times about “Silk Road” International University and the Croatian guests are ready to cooperate with the university.

On 18 May 2023, Deputy Procurator General of Uzbekistan Salom Samadov visited “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and was personally welcomed the Rector of the international university, A.Abdukhakimov. In his welcoming remarks, rector A.Abdukhakimov expressed his deep gratitude to Procurator General Samadov for his visit and his interest in developing education and the tourism industry in the country. He emphasised the importance of strengthening the partnership between the university and law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime, especially in the protection and preservation of cultural heritage.

Procurator General Samadov expressed his appreciation to the rector and his team for their contribution to the development of the tourism industry and the training of highly qualified professionals. He noted that tourism plays a key role in Uzbekistan’s economic growth, and cooperation with an academic institution such as “Silk Road” International University contributes to the development of this industry.

In conclusion, the visit to “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage by the Procurator General of Uzbekistan, Salom Samadov, marked an important stage in cooperation between the government and educational institutions in the quest to develop tourism and preserve cultural heritage.

Cooperation between Silk Road International University and the Procurator General’s Office of Uzbekistan opens the door for the creation of joint programs and initiatives aimed at training highly qualified personnel in the field of tourism, as well as combating and preserving the illegal trade in cultural property.
