         Required:

  • sports and children’s animators (500$ plus extra)

The scientific research department of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage announces a competition of scientific articles on the topic “New Constitution – Encyclopedia of Development” for employees, teachers and students of the university. Based on the results of the competition, 3 places with the best written articles will be determined and the authors will be awarded.

In order to ensure the implementation of the tasks defined by the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers and the relevant order by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation the period of winter vacation for the current academic year is from 25th of December, 2023 to January 7, 2024 for the students of higher educational institutions, technical schools, colleges, vocational schools and academic lyceums.

According to the academic calendar of the university, winter school for BA students is going to be held on January 8-19, 2024, and classes begin on January 22, 2024.

For MA students, classes begin on January 15, 2024.

The first vice-rector of our university, professor J.Eltazarov, head of the department “Tourism Management” A.Odilov, head of the department “Languages” T.Sultanov and head of the department of planning and development of educational process M.Yorkulov recently took part in the “5th International Congress of Tourism and Cultural Heritage” in Marmaris (Turkey), organized jointly with the universities of Alanya and Beikent.

Professors and lecturers of our university told the congress participants about the reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in the direction of tourism sector development, the role of nonmaterial cultural heritage in tourism and the tourism potential of Samarkand. The congress participants from more than a dozen countries were positively impressed by the positive changes in the tourism sector in our country in recent years.

On November 23-24 of this year, representatives of the Swiss organization “Helvetas Swiss Intercoperation” in Uzbekistan and a representative of the world-famous EHL School of Hotel Business in the direction of “Hospitality Management” Scott Ryan visited “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. First, guests familiarized with the conditions and opportunities created at Academy of Tourism in Samarkand. As it is known, the activity of this academy serves as an important factor for further prosperity of the tourism industry. After that, the guests presented presentations on the present and future of Samarkand Academy of Tourism by Artem Klyukov, a lecturer of the university department, and representatives of the Swiss organization “Helvetas Swiss Intercoperation” in Uzbekistan, as well as Scott Ryan, a representative of the world-famous EHL hotel business school in the field of hospitality management. During the practical visit, representatives of both sides exchanged views on the implementation of useful programs of various directions.

On November 22 of this year, Kwang Se Lee, the global marketing director of EGIS Co.Ltd of the Republic of Korea, and Bekzod Komilov, the manager of collective affairs of the international cooperation development center, visited our university.

At the meeting, the representatives of the company gave information about the development of the ODA project on capacity building in the field of cultural heritage management and use in Uzbekistan on the basis of GIS and digital twin technologies, and the project expected to be implemented on the basis of advanced 3D GIS and digital twin technologies.

Also, during the conversation, mutual ideas were exchanged about the possibilities of involving university students in the form of practice in the project that is planned to be implemented.

We are against violence

On the occasion of “25 November - International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women”, Mukaddaskhon Sadinova, a member of the club "Kizlarjon", organized by the Women’s Council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, prepared a video dedicated to the action “16 days against violence” under the slogan “Family without violence - the way to a prosperous life”.

On November 23, 2023, examinations and interviews were conducted at the Silk Road International University of tourism and Cultural Heritage for admission to postgraduate (PhD) and research internship programs, as well as interviews with applicants for independent research (PhD). A total of 15 candidates participated in the exams and interviews, with 9 candidates being recommended for postgraduate studies, 5 for independent research, and 2 for research internships. According to the exam results, 2 candidates have been recommended for admission to the postgraduate program in the specialty of 08.00.17-“Tourism and hotel activities”
3 candidates for independent research (2 in the specialty 08.00.17-“Tourism and hotel activitiesand 1 in the specialty 08.00.05-“ Economics of service industries”), and 1 candidate for a research internship. You can familiarize yourself with the exam results in the attached evaluation guide.
